Is it possible to be a member of chapter with out paying fees?
Is it OK to join a chapter just to learn from them and get familier with the PM.

Adel, as far as I can tell each chapter has a nominal membership fee. (I paid $25 to join PMI-New Brunswick.)

Unfortunately, to join a chapter you must be PMI member first, which will set you back $129 annually for a regular membership. (A student membership is $32.)

Wishing you all the best on your PM journey.

Hi Adel,

i would suggest just to visit the chapter nearest to you and speak to the members there. Mostly you can connect to them as a guest aslo and even join there meetings/presentations as a guest. Networking with them without being a chapter member is not forbidden.

Having said this i absolutly agree with all what Stephane having mentioned above.
If you aspiring to become a PMP you should consider to become a PMI Member also. Aas a PMI Member you get the Premium Membership here for FREE; you save more than the anual fee when you have to pay for exam and so on ... a lot of benefits for just 129$ a year!

Regards,

Markus
