You should not generalize. Marketing as a title will be rejected by the adviser. Period.
From my experience, I advise you to look into marketing, NOT in General, but restrict your research to a specific area/region, and co-relate it to Project management. (Maybe SWOT or STEEPLE? ) What applies in one market will not apply to all markets.
Reading one book will not do you any good. You should have plethora of materials referencing. You need to read thesis written by others, etc...
Moreover, you are requested to know how to reference what you have read.
