Hi Saurabh,
Thanks for reaching out about this.If you wish to make suggestions for changes to any of the PMI standards, you will need to complete the Standards Comment Form. You can find the form by visiting http://www.pmi.org/PMBOK-Guide-and-Standar...s-Projects.aspx and clicking on the link to the form under PMI Standards Participation.
I hope this helps!
Please feel free to reach out with further questions.

Can I ask what you think is missing? Just curious to hear what you would suggest as an addition. Saving Changes...

Hello Elizabeth. I think "Project Knowledge Management" should also be a knowledge area in PMBOK. Below are some of the points which I faced and why I think this should be included.
1) Knowledge is wisdom and this can help in project success. But when resource leaves a project their is high risk of knowledge drain which can result in delays of deliverables, bad quality of deliverables, risk is high, cost might be impacted (new resource, training on lost knowledge, etc)
2) With proper knowledge management planning, risk can be avoided or mitigated as best possible way of transition can be developed
3) As proper knowledge is available, project schedule/cost will be less impacted.
4) Knowledge in proper format can avoid risk of quality degrade of deliverables.
5) Knowledge management can lead to better communication within stakeholders.
6) Precious time of manager can be saved dealing with unwanted escalation if proper knowledge management system is in place.
7) Rework can be avoided.
There are many more issues I am sure you all too must have also faced because of insufficient knowledge provided or available. Infact in my opinion, knowledge is the core of of applying project management skills. And as skills are learned, knowledge grows. But if this knowledge is not harnessed then it is serious loss for the project.
Hope I am clear is explaining my point. But please do let me also know your thoughts on the same. I might be wrong somewhere in some understanding. Saving Changes...
