thanks Mark, I totally agree with you. at the moment I'm involved in black belt coursework for certification (I already green belt certified). do you have any suggestion about this certification?
many thanks in advance
Fosco
Well ..- Six Sigma is something to do with measure of quality that strives for near perfection. Its a methodology (explicitly data driven approach) for eliminating defects. From where this data comes is from PMI processes through its integration management KA.
I would let "Sig SIGMA" fall into one of the Tools Techniques of one or more many PMI processes, possibly the QM KA (Quality Management Knowledge Area)

Hi Fosco, Six sigma implementation necessiates technical background. There are three certification levels for it.

I Fosco. It took me a while to get it (the real BB from ASQ) but i believe that the effort paid off. Not necessarily direct as in salary increase or a nice job but in knowledge.
It is a tough exam. Open book means that having a book won't help :)
In my opinion SS is the mandatory for mature Agile.

Six Sigma is a popular and effective approach nowadays. it does not necessarily mean that you need it, though.
