I am a relatively new PMP having earned my certification in May this year so the only "books" I''ve "read" on the topic are the PMBOK Guide 5th Edition and the PM Prepcast. I am very interested to see what books and tips are mentioned.

Wings of Fire! by APJ Abdul Kalam (Ex President and Rocket man of India). It gives insight into what it takes to manage the complex, time bound and high stake Project. Very nice quotes on the Leadership and Management. It is not a newly launched book so chance is that you might have read it :-) I am reading it now!!

A down to earth guide to SDLC Project Management by Joshua Boyde, great resource , it is indeed down to earth and contains many information that can be helpful if you are involved in projects using SDLC, however my all time favorite is Rita Mulcahy''s PMP Exam Prep, it contains many practical examples that can help pass the exam and on the job.....
