Hi Matt,

like Bala i didn''t really got what exactly you asking for.
You have asked different the second time, but you have used the same words.
May be you can try to formulate your question with some other words or try to ask a bit more specific?!

Regards,

Markus

There are too many! Have a look in the glossary or index of the PMBOK Guide for a view of what many project managers consider important concepts in project management.

Hi Matt,

If your question is : what are the important components of project management then there are 5 process groups which are the foundation blocks of project management:
1. Initiating
2. Planning
3. Executing
4. Monitoring and Controlling
5. Closing

The basic concept is every project is unique and temporary and you manage them with your expertise applying project management standards and practices to achieve its goal. Anything more in detail on how to apply and about the standards you would refer to PMbok guide and other methodologies together.

Hi Matt,

Are you familiar with the Project Management Body of Knowledge Guide (PMBOK Guide)? That is a good place to start, in terms of learning about PM concepts. From there, we can give you lots of details about proejct management.

As Sandilyan states, if something is worthy of being called a project, it is worthy of being managed properly.
