I am currently studying for the PMP and I will sit for the exam probably by February and this is why I am asking about the date and hoping it won't be before February or March.

My apologies, I might have missed your point, can you ellaborate more on this so I can make sure I got your point fully.
I'm afraid I'd be beating a dead horse. It's all good.

Steven, you are talking mysteries now and I do appreciate it if you can explain to me what this means since we are discussing something and I do not understand it. Thanks !

Hey Guys,

back to the topic i would just add a few thoughts.
Since Bala already mentioned right that PMBoK Guide 6th edition is expected in the beginning of 2017,
that would NOT mean that PMP Exam is changing immediatly too!

Like my experience there is normally a time frame about 6 months or more until exam is changing too (all the R.E.P's need time to adjust there materials for instance ...).

So the new PMP exam which will be alighend to the new PMBoK Guide edition should be expected not earlier than mid of 2017 or later.

PMI will announce it as far as possible.

Regards,

Markus

Hi Rami,

yes, it does, but this changes are minor and the actual PMBoK Guide 5th edition is not affected by this changes in january now.

Rami,

I'm not sure when you began studying for the PMI exam, but I took mine in December of 2015. Sometime in January, 2016 there were going to be some revisions to the exam. Not sure if you were aware of that. It could have an effect on your studying. If you weren't aware of that, it might be worth a call to PMI to confirm you have teh latest study info. Good luck!

James,

I passed my exam on January 28th, 2016 and Yes, I was aware of the changes which took effect on January 16, 2016. These changes did not affect my study at all because they did not add material to the book, they only added emphasis on some section like: Project Charter and they announced this on the website. The new book will be released next year probably.
