If what you want, Mary-Lynn is to represent data graphically, I find Visio does a good job of pulling Project information into cool graphics. Saving Changes...

The short answer is no, thus a lot of manual labor involved to extract data, confirm data, and report. Clarity for portfolio management, MS Project for WBS (standalone files) and Atlassian JIRA/Confluence for everything else, including risk, issue, and task tracking. My goal is to leverage the Atlassian suite of products as much as possible due to powerful integration, however each specialized feature has an additional cost. Saving Changes...
Mary, we do use MS Project Server for Project Management, however we use multiple platforms for data visualization. For one we use the Project Server to realize some admin aspects. Second, the Sharepoint itself for managing some reports that are also linked with the collaboration aspects. Thirdly, a self developed '.Net' page which provides very good graphics, by using jscript and CSS (very well designed and cost efficient).
However the needs of each are different, I would basically ask the question, what is it that you are trying to visualize, create the scope statement then it is easy to know what you have to do :)

I do not know if this is the case Mary-Lynn but I understood that you are using the word system as a synonim of software system. If that is the case let me say that to be successfull you have to avoid that. System is the whole organization with their components and relations. Second, tool is any thing that could help to make our job, not softwtare tools only. I am writting all of these stuff because I participated into a lot of integration projects and, in my personal experience, all these were the key to achieve the objectives. About sofware tools, we are using HP PPM conviened with collaboration tools you can find inside Office 360. Saving Changes...
