Is there an FAQ for this? I looked around, and I wasn't able to find anything. Thanks!

Kenneth: go to your Account. Under the Blogs section, you will see a link called "start your own blog". All the best.

I'm not able to start a blog yet due to my level on influence. (I'm still pretty new to this site.) These are the rules:

Our members are only able to start their own personal blogs once they have earned a particular level of influence in the community... This helps us to ensure that the member has a demonstrated commitment and history of participation, which will lead to a better blog.

The best way to improve your influence, Kenneth, is to contribute in the Discussions. (Mine just slipped because I had been focused on other areas for the last few days.)

Stephane: Commenting on what you' ve mentioned, I personally believe there is something somehow unfair in the way a member's influence is assessed. I am very active, always engage in discussions, posts, networking. Yesterday my influence increased from 61 to 66. After that, it happened that I connected with 500 members so I got the networking badge. Two hours later, my influence dropped back to 63 again. It was somehow weird so I emailed the concenred to check on why this happened. I enjoy being active here, share and learn from all the professionals, it is an amazing community, at the same time, it is good to feel that you are making a difference and your influence is being recognized in a fair manner. At least this is how I feel about it, after what happened yesterday. It is an automatic equation and update, not manual but still, why this happened and it dropped in 2 hours time after it increasing.

Yes contributing to discussions, giving feedback to blogs and networking would help you in increasing the influence. I am sure you would get the sufficient score so that the Blogs link would get enable.

Enjoy contributing !!!

Kenneth: If you are a member of PMI then you automatically get Premium Membership here (As far as I know) and within few days of contribution you should be able to create your own blog as per Stephane's directions.
