Who are your top business analyst thought leaders? Those people you read everything they write, or that change the foundation of your skills...etc.
The one individual who really amped up my business analyst game is Joy Beatty from Seilevel. Her focus on visual modeling just adds another dimension to my work and my clients are all over it. It distinguishes me from other business analysis and most importantly has vastly improved my skills across the boards. Seriously if you haven't read all of her books and attended a few of her webinars, stop everything and go read it....now.
Notable mentions are John Parker for his fantastic work on Centers of Excellence, Alistair Cockburn for his rambling on computer science, Ken Schwaber and the other original signatories of the Agile Manifesto. Too many to name, but those are mine.
