I recently passed PMI-PBA exam and below are my study resources and experience. Hope this helps anyone who is planning to pursue PBA exam.
1. PMI's Business Analysis for Practitioners: A Practice Guide
This is a must to understand the scope and some questions did came from the guide.
2. PMI PBA Study tables by Watermark learning :
It provides a very clear concepts and a very good summary of all techniques. This is useful for recap and quick review
3. IIBA’s BABOK V2
This is very useful to understand knowledge areas for business analysis
4. The PMBOK - I mainly focused on Scope, Quality, communication and Risk.
I also read the Rita Mulcahy's Hot Topics Flashcards for Passing the PMP.
As I am already a PMP, so it was easy for me to have a quick glance.
5. Business Analysis Techniques: 99 Essential Tools for Success:
I went through all the techniques mentioned in "PMI's Business Analysis for Practitioners: A Practice Guide" and it provided clear explanation on the use of the techniques and good examples.
If you are a PMI member you can have free access to this book from their e books website.
6. CBAP / CCBA Certified Business Analysis Study Guide, 2nd Edition

I went through complete book and all practice exam, this helped me to understand the level of questions expected.

Suggestions:

Please read thoroughly the BA practitioner guide and understand the concept and practice the mock exam before appearing actual exam.

Following tips focuses on understanding the "PMI way of doing things" and using this to spot the right answer to PBA exam questions:

Simply imagine you are a Business Analyst in a "perfect" world. Everything works as expected.
Need is assessed and business case is written before developing a charter
External and Internal Stakeholders including project managers and team is engaged before developing a BA plan
Requirements are elicited using a variety of tools and techniques.
Business
Analysis models are used to elicit, record, verify, validate and prioritize the requirements
Requirements are traced and monitored using Tracability matrix or other tools
Solution is evaluated to see the effectiveness and the value, it produced for organization and stakeholders
For the PBA exam, think of a large organization that carries out its projects using proper project management practices. This is a model organization with established processes and procedures, experienced staff, and healthy culture.
The correct answer would typically reflect an action taken by a well-versed Business Analysis working for such an organization. And furthermore, this well-versed BA knows the importance of having and following these proper BA practices, the established processes, and the defined procedures. They help us to repeat our project and product success
However, when appropriate, it is absolutely OK (and it is a best practice) to tailor these processes for your project and adjust them as needed. But we never break them or simply throw them out of the window.
