Of Course! What about it? It could be maximizing your marketing efforts, recruitment efforts, working out efforts or even cleaning, branding or whatever kinds of efforts. But as we are here talking on the forum of project managers, I will assume you are talking about maximizing the project management efforts.
I would give here some generic pointers to maximize your project management efforts as follows:
1. Plan it - Whatever project management effort you are trying to undertake, you must plan it and schedule it very carefully. This will act as your baseline and will help you in later steps.
2. Make it Habitual - Follow your plan as a habit or like an SOP. Remember, you have absolutely no authority in yourself to not follow what is in the plan.
3. Diversify - In case things do not turn out as planned, have a change control mechanism in place to diversify creatively, re-plan and re-baseline your plan, before you start following it again with same vigour and rigour.
4. Find Accountability - Check back to see what has happened, analyse the situations carefully and methodologically, and apportion appropriate action.
5. Log It - Record everything for future guidance and lesson learnt.
I hope this helps.

SOP: Standard Operational Procedure? (not too sure)

I am sorry Rami if I forgot to explain the acronym SOP. SOP stands for Standard Operating Procedure and usually applies to operations. In projects we do not have any SOPs but broad guidelines, according to which we develop our project plans. Once we have baselined our plan, we are supposed to follow them religiously as if they are the SOPs in operations. We are not supposed to change them on our own during execution. In case any change is required, a proper procedure for change management exists in plan which will have to be followed in monitoring and control, resulting in an updated plan, a new baseline to again be followed just like a SOP.

Thanks Eduard - You might be right, most probably it will be it, Standard Operating Procedure, I checked it online yesterday and there is no other explanation other than this.

No Problem Suhail and I do appreciate that you had the time to explain it in details as above. Now, it is crystal clear and I learned something new as I never knew this abbreviation before. Thank You.
