Hello Maen,
this is intersting, could you please elaborate this a bit more? What kind of documentation is unnecessary from your point of view?
And if so, why is this documentation still required within your PM processes?
I am very interested in this topci from my point of view as an EPMO employee.
THx in advance!

Well, IMHO, it is not about like or dislike, it is about what your projects needs or don't need so you can tailor and assess the tools accordingly. Saving Changes...

Well, i would love to have an integrated PM tool within our company which integrates all the pm processes and has the option to tailor it too the specific project needs, like Rami mentioned.
I know that there such kind of tools available, unfortenatly there is actually no plan to implement one in our company.
Instead why have to try to conduct such kind of tool by our own with MS Sharepoint as a platform, what is very ineffective from my point of view.

Thanks Markus.
in our company , one document is called Use Case Document which is business documents that provide a story of how a system and the team will be utilized to achieve specific goal.
This can be included in any other related plan.
As Rami mentioned, there is no particular UNNECESSARY documentation. All we need to do is tailor the process/tool as per the requirement of the project. By requirement I mean complexity and volume of the project.
I'm of the view that documentation seems futile for two reasons.
1. The documents once produced are not used properly or are not used at all after they are developed. Such documents are left unattended only to be discarded later for recycling.
2. Some (read many) people do not understand tailoring of processes/tools. We in our company have long checklists for milestones and much longer list of documents required for supporting them but they are not to be used for every single project. Many of the items listed in checklists are required in HUGE and complex projects. Saving Changes...
