Agile is a framework and a mindset and is structured and has certain principles that need to be adhered to.

Situational Management is not structured and chaotic.

Add something to Adil comment above, both are not matter of comparision. Agile Management does not exists. Is any example to a misuse of the word agile. Unfortunatelly everything is named agile today, from cars to anything that sombody has a need to sell.

As Adil, points out, situational management is where you manage one situation at a time. Each situation is dealt separately and independently.

Situational management can make sense in the decision making process but really shines in emotionally-charged conflicts.

Agile methodologies usually see decision-making as something handled at meetings, like the daily stand-up. It presumes all the decision stakeholders are present at the meeting. The idea is to avoid "I'll have to get my boss to approve it."
