One of my customers would like to use Siebel's ecommerce solution because the company is implementing Siebel for CRM. I haven't been able to find much information about Siebel's solution. Our Siebel vendor didn't have anything to give us and I haven't found anything on their site. What I have found deals with advanced features, like personalization (linking it into customer db) that we don't need. E-commerce is our primary channel for non-b2b sales, so it is important, but we only sell a dozen products, so there isn't much sophistication that's needed, but it does need to tie into fulfillment and accounting.
My guess is that Siebel's solution is advanced and robust and requires significant customization.
Anyone have experience with this? Saving Changes...
