Any good "role playing" activities that will enable me to find a differentiating factor between 3 seemingly equal PM candidates?

Any assistance is appreciated.....

One role play I had to take part in during a training workshop was to deal with conflict. The scenario was:

1. The project is late

2. One of the contractors, although extremely efficient coding wise (the best in the team) did not update the documentation

3. The team leader was fed up and complained


What do you do?


Of course for this you need good actors to play the contractor and team leader.
