Logging hours for PMI-ACP

I'm looking at taking my PMI-ACP exam. In prepping for the exam I have come across two questions. My research hasn't provided much clarity to these questions.
1- How do you record project hours to reflect agile experience?
2- The requirements are 2000 hours project experence and 1500 agile project hours experience. I have worked in mainly agile shops. The vast majority of my project hours are on agile projects. Will I be able to claim the whole 3500 hours as agile?

Thanks in advance

Hi Bryce!

I've tried to answer your questions as clearly as possible below. I hope this helps!

1. On the application, each agile project you enter will include a free text area requiring 300 – 1100 characters describing the agile methods used or processes you followed on the project. The reviewers will be looking for you to reflect your proficiency with agile practices and tools. The PMI-ACP Exam Content Outline documents the domains of practice and a toolkit of cross-cutting tools and techniques. These can be used to help guide you in recording your agile experience.

2. The general project experience applies to time spent working on projects regardless of methodology, so you could claim all 3500 hours as agile.

Thank you for your interest in PMI-ACP and best of luck as you prepare for the exam!

Thanks Krisitn, I have seen where people have built spreadsheets for logging hours when taking the PMP. I wasn't sure if there was a format for the ACP that I should be following.

I have issues with this spreadsheet in that it calculates hours based on a 40 hour work week with the assumption that all of your time is spent on the single project. This isn't true in our shop at all. I'm looking for something that I can plug in hours and just have totals applied.

PMI applications goes off the 40 hour week. This is so that the duration of experience(years) stays consistent. I also run multiple projects at a time. What I did for my application, which was accepted by PMI, was claimed the major project or one project during that time to claim for my experience. I had some overlap but was still just claiming 40 hours a week experience, even though I was putting in longer weeks than that.
