In fact, Religion teaches you Ethics. of course, there is exceptions to the equation. always there is good and bad, however, if we stick to what we have learned from our religion, Ethics would be an integral part of it. Saving Changes...

Very true all religions teach and profess better living of all and in a correct way and the way should not be unjust, and this is what all ethics is about. The best practices of each religion are code book of ethics. Saving Changes...

Sorry for disagree but ethics and religion are not related. Ethics is an ancient topic that has been discused from years in the field of philosophy. It is not enough space here to write about ethics but my recomendation is to search for this matter in the field of epistemology where you can find the application to disciplines like project management. No offence but is a common mistake to relate both. But it is some kind of logic behind related both because there is a branch in ethic named vitue ethics that can be source of confusion. I both agree and disagree. While each religion has basic tenets of ethical behavior, and many times those tenets overlap with other religions, I also believe ethics can be culturally based. For instance, China, with diverse religions such as Taoism, Buddhism, Confucianism, Islam, Christianity, as well as several minority folk religions has a fairly uniform set of ethics. One might argue that such ethics were imposed by the Mao regime. Perhaps India, which did not have a strong-handed leader like Mao, is a better example. Native Americans, with no formal organized religion, still shared a basic set of ethics with respect to trade, treaties, and war. Saving Changes...

Interesting comments. How might ethics stemming from culturally based influences affect project team members on a global team? Saving Changes...
It's funny you should bring up that question, Kristin.
I grew up with the belief and governing value that you should always leave a place better than when you enter it. (My 6 years of being a boy scout probably had something to do with it.)
While I may have strayed a bit from a purely ethical anecdote, it does seem to highlight the challenges in reconciling different cultural influences. Saving Changes...
