Did getting PMP increased your salary?

No, the certification itself did not, but by applying the learnings, it helps me improve my performance for later opportunities.

It depends on the company policies. But getting PMP for sure it will open the doors of opportunities for increment.

No, not at the company where I was working when I received the PMP credential. Whether it mattered in jobs since then is hard to tell. My guess is "probably".

No, it didn't, and neither did getting my Master's in Project Management, but I believe they both made me stand a little higher above my peers in the competition for jobs and opportunities that I have undertaken since receiving them. As I believe in life-long learning, I look at those as outward markings of an internal quest.

No, getting my certification didn't lead me to a raise. I am actually starting to believe the combination of PMP and certain technical certifications is what you need to really stand out!!

No. And I got my first PMI certification (PMP) in 2003. I got my second one (PMI-SP) in 2012 and am now working on my third (PMI-RMP).

Don't think of certifications as something to increase your pay. Think of them as something that shows your proficiency, proaction, and professionalism.
