That is great to know. I plan on retaking the exam in Feb 17. I took the test two months after PMI approved my application and I was disappointed in my performance. I sure hope that it comes out after that time period. It took me 3 months just to fully understand all the ITTOs let alone working on everything else. I am definitely much more confident about the test at this point in my studies.
Hi Reginald,

yes, the new PMBoK Guide is expected towards third Q3/2017 and the updated PMP exam will become valid in the beginning of 2018.

For more infromation about the dates and the changes please refer to my blog here at pm.com:

@Maria:
Good Idea! If you believe or not, that was the plan already. ;)
But somehow it get a bit lost (cause there is still a little work to do for providing it as a template here at pm.com) and other things became more prioritized for me.
But it is still on my list and latest it will come with the relating MP4PM map/template.

Regards,

Markus

Hello Bala,

have you checked the template database here at pm.com; as far as i can remember here are some kickoff tmeplates available.
If you will send me your email adress as a private message i am glad to send you another template which i mostly use.

The kickoff meeting has the purpose to bring the project team and (at least) the main stakeholders together (may be the first time) to gave them the possibillity to get to know each other. Main goal imho is to paint a clear picture to what the project is all about and to create a common consens about the project, its goals and objectives, the method and so on ...
For me it is NOT an operational project meeting.
Markus - I would love to have a copy o this tool as well. Thank you
