I recently obtained my PMP certificate and am now interested in taking the AGILE certification offered through PMI. Does any one know if PDUs used for one certificate can be applied against the other? Can the class I take to prepare for my AGILE exam be also used as PDU for my PMP? Saving Changes...

With New CCRS earning PDUs has become very easy, you can have option to rearn all 60 PDUs by just reading books or by watching project management videos on youtube.
Managing multiple PMI certificates also became easy with Talent Triangle

absolutly ... or by just watching webinars here on pm.com .. and you have to do nothing, it is reported fully automaticly to PMI ...
i have done my re-certification until 2021 within a few weeks with less effort .. it can't be easier.
Hi Markus,
What you've mentioned is very interesting. I have some questions for you:
1- How did you manage to re-certify that quick ? Besides watching seminars, what did you do if you do not mind sharing ?
2- When you watch a webinar, the PDU's are automatically recorded ? You do not need to claim them like you do with the discussion threads ?
3- How did you certify until 2021 if you are only allowed to carry 20 PDU's with you for next year ?
I am really interested to know all the above - Thanks a lot :-)

Hi Rami,
no prob:
1.: i have used my holidays ;); nothing (i know that is kind of silly, but i just wanted to clear up this admisintrative part, i do all the other things either way ...)
2.: yes, absolutly; as long as you login on pm.com via your PMI credentials/account (they have to be linked), your activity is reported to PMI automaticly and you will just recceive 2 emails from PMI, one that your PDU request was recognized and one if it is approved ...sometimes the approval email even arrives previous to the other one ... ;)
3. Well, since i have done PMP last august my credential was valid for three years, until August 2018, right? When i started collecting PDUs than they already counts towards the next re-certifcation cycle which is the on from August 2018 to August 2021 and this cycle i have already fullfilled. Now i can start collecting PDUs towards the next re-certification cycle (August 2021 to August 2024) not before 2017 since i am only allowed to take 20 PDUs from 2017 into 2018 when the next re-certification cycle starts to count. I hope this was clear enough ...
Regards,
Markus

Hi Markus,
Thanks a lot for your explanation. Understood now except for one thing which I will address to you separately. I am glad to know the webinars are reported directly and u do not need to claim them like the discussion threads.
Your next re-classification cylce is from 2021 till 2042 - Thats a very long period, you sill be retired :-)
