Smart Secretary - what do you think of the value from PM perspective?

It automatically transforms meeting speeches to text transcripts with meetings minutes. It can be used in local and remote meetings.

Scenarios:
Smart Secretary is a collaboration application used in team meetings. It can be stand alone software or be integrated to some collaboration software, such as IBM Smart Cloud Meetings.

When a team start a local or remote meeting, they launch Smart Secretary. The application can transform the speech to a text transcript in real time. The text can be translated so that people with different language backgrounds can benefit from it. The accessibility of the meeting content is greatly improved.

After the meeting finishes, Smart Secretary will apply cognitive analysis to meeting transcript and extract the key concepts, which then produces a meeting minute with the main topics and actionable items. The meeting minute will be send out to all meeting attendees automatically. The turnaround time of producing meeting minutes is quick so the team can act on it fast.

All meetings transcripts and minutes will be stored for future references. The information is searchable and becomes an invaluable assets. If a team member forgot some topics in the meeting, he / she can search the meeting transcripts and minutes quickly and find it out. Transitionally meetings are recorded in voice or video, but it is very time consuming to search historical recordings.

This is a good application except for the fact that it sends the report directly to all attendees with further review from the Meeting Leader or PM. Applications can't replace humans so the tendancy of a mistake or misinformation to occur is high especially that the application will interpret key concepts. The MOM should be reviewed prior to issuing it.

Is there such an application existing ?

Using such tools is a bit risky. Any unwanted discussion may become part of MOM. Someone has to manage it and Machine cannot do such works.

I'd love to have an unbiased stenographer... you don't know how many times I write/distribute meeting minutes and there are a couple individuals in our organization who then deny they said what they said, despite multiple witnesses to the fact.

I think Smart Secretary is a great tool for Project Manager. There will be instances were language barriers exist between the PM, sponsors, and stakeholders. This tool can greatly improve the quality of communications among all parties.

I'm certain that this software can be customized to fit the needs of the end user. For example, if certain meetings were unproductive,they can be removed from saved files.

Also I would think that, the project manager or meeting manager would edit and improve the final transcripts and key concepts before he would them out to attendees.

Such tool could effectively help the PMs during the meeting and collecting requirements. however, review for final document resulted from the software is mandatory by the PM.
