In the current PM tool market their is always a need for the tool to integrate with the companies other tools.
If you could have your pick what are those 3rd party tools?
What API's would you like to see out there? Saving Changes...

Hey Drew,
Typical project management tools offer low-level integration, for example with single applications - think Excel, Visio or Access.
I would like to see these tools integrate at a higher level with ERP tools - E-Business Suite, SAP, Salesforce ... Ideally, the tools would integrate via REST and/or SOAP APIs.

Stephane, if I understand you correctly you are looking for your sales crm tool to initiate the project once a sale is completed or for when the project is finished it connects with the accounting tool to trigger invoices?
They definitely need to integrate with the corporate e-mail system, Exchange and/or Lotus Notes.

So, when I use the PM tool to send out reminder e-mails to my project staff requesting Status Update, the PM system can receive the reply e-mail and parse it to get the info for Status, and then update the database with that info? If no, and it's just sending out reports and reminders, and not receiving and parsing replies, then you don't have the kind of e-mail integration that I am expecting.
