I do not usually hold such meetings internally as they can be easily communicated via reports unless there is a need to - My concentration is usually on more important topics like Risk, Quality and so on. However, we do have such meetings on monthly basis with the client to discuss the look ahead schedule in addition to current status / progress. Saving Changes...

Hi Mr. Haider,
If one is not careful he may get confused about these two types of meetings. They´re almost the same in my opinion. I´ll try to help below using your bullet points.
Review Meetings
1. More broad reviewing exposure, highlighting important aspects since the beginning of the project/program, important decisions made, and deep forecast performance expected/desired;
2. Strategic stakeholders and some important team members;
3. Important gateway decision point.
Status Meeting
1. more often meeting, with established frequency and shorter agenda, such as: recent activities status, overall project status, issue log, risk monitor, and next activities expected.
2. team members assigned to previous and next activities;
3. the example Mr. Kaibni gave is a very good one: monthly status meetings.
I hope this may help.
I posted at my blog a text about making meetings more productives. If you want to get more deep into it, take a look.
