My post here is mostly for people in engineering, construction, oil & gas, --- those working on capital projects (what some call construction projects).
I have a few questions for you - please try to answer each if you can:
1. Have you used agile and its derivatives on your projects?
2. If yes, how, elaborate as much as you can - and - was it successful?
3. If no, why not?
4. Are you aware of reports, studies, surveys on agile in this sector and industries?
I really do not want to hear "Agile works on all projects" - you can say so by explaining how and not only making statements? Saving Changes...

In year 1999 I was the leader of a hugh program where one of the components was a construction project to build cheaper but confortable houses based on Mr Cesar Pelli design. Because some restricitions we decide to use DSDM agile software methodology BUT applied to this project that did not have a line of software or something related to IT. All project objectives were achieved so the project was considered successful. That was for goverment. While is not your question, please let me say that I have used agile principles and sometime agile methods too for non-software projects in domains like automotive, retail and foods and beverages. Hi Sergio
Thank you. I am not talking about using agile in various domains; because even oil & gas has IT projects and business projects that can use agile. I am specifically interested in using Agile on Capital Intensive Projects like building a petrochemical plant; or residential tower; or power plant; or a metro system.
Now on your housing project - how did you use agile? Saving Changes...
