Hi All,

I have my PMP exam in just over 3 weeks.

I have studied Rita Mulcahy and read one the PMbok Guide and Andy Crowe. Even though I continue to study it's been some time since I last found information that seemed a new concept to me.

My problem is I am scoring on average about 75% on Rita Mulcahy exam simulator and I seem to have the glass ceiling which is can't seem to break through. I am starting to feel anxious that time is starting to run out and I really want to make the remaining time count.

Would anybody have any advice on how best to spend the remaining time before the exam. I can basically dedicate myself to this full time between not and the exam date.

Thanks and best regards,
Simon

So much wonderful advice was already given here. Since you are using an exam simulator, you might want to analyse if there are certain knowledge areas where you score lower.
It might turn out that you just need to review a specific area in more detail to significantly improve your score.
Also I would like to empathize on the fact that over testing yourself may do more harm than good. If you enter the exam well prepared and bring in all your experience, you will see that you can do fine.
All the best for your exam!

I do completly agree with Andreas here;
you have to figure out where your weak areas are and focus on them.

Have you defined a result analyzing approach for your self? Did you consitently analyze your results and not only the wrong ones but also the right answers, to see WHY did you them right?! Was it only "luck" or do you really understand the concept behind the question/answer?
Such an analysis should give you the right "feeling" where you mostly lost the points which you need to break the barrier of 75%!
Once you did that, your self confidence will boost and come back, trust me.
But you have to put a little work into it.

In addition you should use not only one professional ressource for mock exams/sample questions but at least two.
And please be aware of free available material; there is some good stuff out there but most of the free stuff could be even counterproductive.

If you are not willing to invest some more bucks i would refer you to this article, which contains the 10 best and most popular resources for free available sample questions:

? PMP Exam Questions - The Complete Guide ?

And it will even give you some tipps you might not have recogniced yet.

Hope this helps.
And please let me know if you are interested in one or two more really good online professional exam simulators.

Best of luck.

Markus

Good luck Simon.
I am of the "be well rested and well fed" instead of "cram all night long up until the test" camp. Take care of yourself, and your studying and training will allow you to approach the exam calmly and reason out the best answer.

Hi Simon,

I definitely do have the same feeling with you during my time taking the exam. Just sharing, I did twice taking the exam. For the 1st time exam, i don't much feeling nervous , which i personally during that time too confident and taking for granted. But for the 2nd time, I change my style and instead of memorizing, I learn to grasp the idea of the concept, which make me much understanding.

But still nervous on my 2nd exam, but don't worry, the feeling is good for you. It show your determination too keep learning. If you find any new thing, please try to relate the concept that you already learnt. Because all of this is all connected. Try to develop mind mapping instead of memorizing.

You can do it bro..good luck.

Hi Simon, I understood the pressure you are feeling. Keep doing your excercise. Google for sample exam and try to answer those. Take care of your health as well and find a way to increase your stamina
Well, like i said in my previous posting, of course googleling for some free stuff might help, but you must be aware of the bad stuff out there, so please only trust on reliable resources.

Please refer to this really good article about the "real cost" of free sample questions:
