Noor, used what you learned during your first attempt to better prepare for the next! No shame at all. Sometimes it takes that initial run to truly grasp what is required, not only knowledge wise, but time management, and mind/body management. 4 hours is a long time to sit and exam. Plan your test and stick to it. You control the test. Don't let the test control you.

Sandeep's comment bumped this discussion back to the top. Did you every retake your exam, Noor? Saving Changes...
Noor, I am not sure if you have or have not retaken the exam. If you have not, do not give up. Take many practice exams to improve. Memorization does not help only truly understanding the processes and how the interact / relate will help. The formulas you will have to memorize for sure. Good Luck on your second attempt! Dear All,

I passed the exam my first try and had a Mix and Match approach, I will share it and maybe it could help you:
1-read a chapter in PMBOK
2-read the same chapter in Rita Mulcahy's book
3-listen to the audio version of that same chapter Rita Mulcah's ( I get bored reading for too long so, I would switch to audio to keep learning on the move)
4-Practice questions from RITA,PMBOK, online free questions, there are so many...
5-Take notes on why you failed some of the practice questions - This step is so important so you don't fail other questions because of a wrong interpretation/ logic of what you read.
6-Go back to step 1 for the next chapter until you reach the last chapter.
I also joined a group of 3 other Project Managers preparing for the exam because I strive in a team environment; We had weekly sessions of 1 hour or so discussing what we didn't understand , to help each other.
3 of us also took the PMI preparation Boot camp 6 weeks of 3 hours evening sessions.
Note : We all passed the exam on the first attempt except for 1 PM who was only taking the course for best practices.
Good luck! Prepare Pass Get certify!
God Bless,
