What resonates more with you? "Trends" or "Hot Topics"? Why? Thanks!

While I like to try to stay abreast of both, I usually put more faith in trends. They tend to be more indicative of long-term subject areas.

Hot topics are derived from Trends. Trends are to be watched more closely.

I tend to agree with Stephane's opinion on this matter.

I agree - Trends are to be watched and kept up with if at all possible, due to budget, time constraints, etc. In our business we follow technology trends but do not monitor any "hot topics".

Not to beat a dead horse, Kristin... I assume the more responses the better for you... (perhaps something to do with the upcoming website changes???)

Going with Trends also... Trends feels like it comes with continuity to it, whereas Hot Topics feels like solve it and be done.
