How selective are you when someone requests to be included in your network? too often I see people without a profile nor much activity on there but they have very large networks. I tend to ignore these requests fearing they'll figure out a way to send me SPAM. What are your standards for accepting a request? How do you decide to whom you will submit a request?

I am fortunate to have never received any unsolicited communications from anybody in my network.

I take care not to send any unsolicited communication, either.

As of now, I accept all requests. If I do get spam from any contacts in the future, it's not very difficult to disconnect from that member.

I am not sure I understand what SPAM some people are getting. I have had the occasional message in my Inbox that are odd. I had someone asking me for job leads in Canada (I don't live in Canada) and someone asking me how to be a project manager in Nigeria. Like any unsolicited message I just ignore.
Those that are getting SPAM, are you getting a lot of these type of messages or something else?

Although I've been a part of this platform for a while, I'm still new to the networking piece. Currently, I'm connecting with everyone that has taken the time to complete their profile.

I am selective in building my network. I usually go through their profile first. However, so far the declines were very rare
