Developing Project Metrics

Hello all.
I would like some resources on developing standard PM metrics. I don't know where to begin. Your help would be appreciated.

For starters, have a look at http://web.mit.edu/is/projects/metrics.html

this shows a few good metrics which you can adapt to your own needs. Think in terms of who you are providing these to and why, think what the management team NEED to know and also what they WANT to know. This should help you thin out any unneccessary work.
