From my point of view, A person who asks right questions and suggest the best solution to specific needs wins the good rate of feedback on business leads.
Though the technology or business requirement or domain is new to BA but run time analysis has to happen. It is also essential to be updated oneself even if you know any domain because everyday something new is happening.
Continuous knowledge improvement could be key to become SME as well as the horizontal deployment of your knowledge with BA's is also essential to benefit an organization.
