This is a question in PMChallenge:
In Control Scope process -which of the following are examples of Organization process asset INPUTS?
1) causes of variances
2) Corrective action chosen and the reason for the action
3) Both of these
4) Neither of these
I answered 4) neither of these, But it shows this as wrong answer..
It shows correct answer as 3) Both of these.
Explanation given is "Both of these are examples of the types of organizational process assets that are OUTPUTS to the control scope process"
I guess question and answer are not matching. Is it wrong question OR I am missing something? Saving Changes...
I would agree with 4. Break the problem down into 2 parts:
1) Are they organization process assets?
Causes of variances could be an asset since OPAs include knowledge.
Corrective action would not be, but the reasons are again knowledge so they could be. This answer would be incorrect because both parts must be true for the whole answer to be true.
2) Are causes of variance inputs to control scope?
I would say no. Controlling scope is about the limits or boundaries of a project. Causes of variances would more logically fall under controlling quality.
Since 2 is not an OPA, and 1 is not an input to Control Scope, I would say neither would be correct answers.
This isn't guesswork. Test taking skills are often about trying to reverse engineer the question by asking "What are they testing?". Saving Changes...
