QUESTION: Could a person have more than one style? Is it possible to be an all "D" person, or all "C", etc..person?
ANSWER: Typically there is one dominate characteristic and secondary. On slide 24 (Behavior Graphs} the D (Red) is dominate - the highest registration and the I (Yellow) is secondary... both are above the mid-point. It can happen that one characteristic (D, I, S or C) is above the mid-point by itself. Sometime, there are three characteristics above the mid-point.
In over 1700+ assessment debriefs, I have never encountered identical communication styles. Even styles that are similar have significant differences when compared side-by-side. Saving Changes...

QUESTIONS: How can one improve his style to align towards a leadership style?
ANSWER: When looking at communication behaviors (DISC) and driving forces there is no single "leadership style"
Leadership success comes with enhanced EQ and communication style flexibility... ie... "Speaking the Language of Leadership" by shifting to the communication mindset of your teammates and stakeholders. Know your emotions - avoid the cortisol cocktail and remain resourceful... be vigilant when others succumb to amygdala driven fear and use your knowledge and pre-frontal cortex - invite them to once again become resourceful when you "speak their language." QUESTION: When there's a meeting of behavior styles, which one's create most conflict or conversely work well together. (especially during periods of stress)
ANSWER: Stress brings out the most challenging behaviors in each person (assuming low to medium EQ) AND.... just because EQ is high - this is not immunity to the Cortisol cocktail. The challenge is how long will you be under the influence of your amygdala?
Communication with a team in stress requires a leader to fluidly move from one pattern to another. This approach is equivalent to leading a team with eight different cultures and languages. A highly effective leader can easily converse in each native tongue and during a discussion, switch from one language to the next. With practice, this can become second nature.
In this manner, a leader exquisitely and precisely speaks to each team member. Using these skills in a virtual setting and in team meeting context could be an interesting follow-on webinar. Saving Changes...

Emotional intelligence (EQ) is the ability to use emotions effectively. Since the publication of the initial research in 1990, innovative organizations have begun testing how to integrate EQ into training and hiring to gain competitive advantage. It is becoming increasingly clear that these skills are the foundation of high-performing organizations.
One of the most important applications of EQ is in helping leaders foster a workplace climate conducive to high performance. These workplaces yield significantly higher productivity, retention, and profitability. Emotional intelligence appears to be key to this competitive advantage.
The evidence is increasingly compelling. The measurable, learnable skills of emotional intelligence make a significant impact on organizational performance. EQ may be essential to differentiating world-class organizations in an increasingly complex and competitive marketplace.

QUESTION: Under the premise each person is unique and born with a specific color, can we move from one color to other? how many colors we have as an human? How can we now what color we have?
ANSWER: Research has distinguished 384 unique personality types. Our preferred color begins to form around age 10-12 and generally remains consistent. The only way to know for certain is to take a DISC assessment.
There are many DISC assessment providers - finding an assessment backed by research and independent verification is recommended. Questions to ask yourself about the assessment:
1) What Research is Your Assessment Based on?
2) Does Your Assessment Have a Validation Study Associated with it?
3} Do Your Assessments Have An Adverse Impact Study? (EEOC & OFCCP compliant)
4) Can Your Assessments Be Used for Hiring?
5) hat Types of Assessments Do You Provide? (DISC, Driving Forces, EQ, Soft Skills) Saving Changes...
