Somehow you got into Project Management – the paths into the field are many. But you are continuing in that field – is it because of Passion (you really LOVE it) OR Compulsion (I need a job/career to make a living)?

Looking for insight from the practitioner community on why they do what they do…

I am passionate about PM and enjoy what I do besides the fact that of course to secure a job is important.

Passion defiantly, seeing a product grow from cradle to grave.

Whatever you do, do it the best. The sense of accomplishment will make you love it. The more the accomplishments, the more comfortable your mind and body will be at work place.

For myself, I love PM because I love making my life and life of others better; it of course does not come without troubles. I love raising level of performance wherever I can.

I have colleagues who have worked in different phases of project management and love SALES of projects because it is like work of an artist, with free mind, providing different possible solutions to client. They think working in PROJECT EXECUTION is limited because you have a set target to achieve within given constraints.

So, look for the things you do the best. Get feedback from people.
