The supplier (subcontractor) is ask to supply with the invoice some paperwork. Those various progress reports, the schedule update is the most frequent then depending on project and contract report concerning quality, environment handsome more.
Should a risk report be include in that information? If produce do you think it would make it easier for claim? or the opposite?
As we include risk reports in status reports to our clients, yes, I would like to see it from a supplier. If status update is sent with invoice, that will be the delivery point. I personally like to get status independent of invoicing - since that is directed to other departments in most of the project I worked in - and I would get it with some week's delay, which I think is too late to be useful.
Is it easier for claim? I don't think so - maybe opposite, because supplier will adress some risk handling tasks to you. But a known risk and task can be adressed, so maybe it's better for project outcome (not claim, but maybe you don't need to claim because of that risk report).

Thanks,
In good projects the invoice will not be process until progress report is approve by the concern people, not accounting.
When approval is needed by PMT the reports are distributed rapidly.

You said that you request progress reports. A project progress report without a risk report inside it is unacceptable. Risk management mean stay in control. Remember all the other components of a project that are impacted by risk and issues.

Thank you Sergio
A normal progress report on projet should include the risk component, that is my view too.
Would the fact that suppliers produce risk information open the door to more claim from them?

It is a matter of your suppliers management strategy. In my case, my experience in different types of companies and domains, to maintain a win-win strategy was the basement to achieve project objectives. In this type of relation trust is a must and because of that rules have to be clear. So, if my supplier records a risk or issue and assign it to me then it is welcome and we will perform the agreed risk/issue management process to solve it or take advantage of it. Saving Changes...
