I have a question regarding Toxic Leadership within a PMO. As a retired Service Member - I would like to know how the Corporate world deals with this issue? Thanks

Toxic leadership can be tough... If you can't see eye to eye with the leadership, and there's no way to influence them either directly or through others, there may really be nothing you can do. I've left and found other opportunities. Employees and employers need to have a common vision for it to be mutually beneficial. It's an issue larger than project management, but PM is a profession that is greatly impacted by leadership as the process needs buy in and support in order to be successful.

Good luck!

Thanks. I am really wanting to embrace PMP. As in the military, we had leaders at all levels that can effect the mission or National Goals. I appreciate the open and honest feedback.

Patrick hit it on the nail. We all need the personal courage to stand for what we believe. At the end of the day, if that courage is insufficient to affect positive changes, you may have to choose a different battleground.
