I have read that it is suitable for large projects. Do you agree?

I don't think there is a minimum. I use EVM on small projects (3 months, 2000 man hours, $20K) and it works just as well.

Not at all. I have applied it into any type of project and any type of organization. Mainly because EVM variables that helps to predict things are very usefull for me. My recommendation is not pay attention when you heard this type of things no matter the process or method you are taking into consideration. My recommendation is any time you will use a process or method to evaluate the impact and go ahead if it applies to your current situation.

Actually, the smaller - in number of activities - the project, the easier it is to do EVM. As your project gets bigger, it can be a bit laborious to assign earned values to each of your activities.

EVM can be applied to any project regardless of the size or type.

Good practice is good for any size of project. That applies to EVM

As Vincent G. pointed good practice always is good, also take in mind that maybe a project is small for you and for others is huge.

I've never seen a table that said this is small, this is big. It depends on the organization.
