Hi George,

From my understanding, time estimate sub-set of preparing the project schedule. In order to prepare project schedule, you need to get time estimate for each work-breakdown structure that you have identified.

Correct me if i'm wrong..that from what I understand.

In simple words, and to the best of my understanding, you do time estimate in order to establish a schedule and schedule baseline.

I'm curious as to the purpose of your question, George. As Muhamad and Rami already explained, it is fairly straightforward.

Do you have a particular issue in mind?

I got another answer here: http://www.pmpessentials.info/pmp-notes/time-management/

And I Rita also gives the exact same answer that above: difference between time estimate and schedule is that the schedule is calendar based.

If anyone else have an interesting insight, you're welcome.

George, These are not really Project management terms. You can just pick up any good dictionary to understand the difference between these 2 terms. Or, you can Max Wideman's PM glossary.

Malik - I read both articles, even though they were good for other Schedule related topics, what I was looking for is the answer to the original question. I most say it is an original question stated in Rita's Training material.

But thanks, I will also use your links with my students...
