We use google as our email server. Currently I use Inbox by Google (https://www.google.com/inbox/). For specific tasks, subjects, or stakeholders I have created bundles. You can apply multiple filters per each bundle. When a new email arrives or is sent that fits those filters it will be placed into that bundle. The incoming email not only shows up in your inbox but you can expand the bundle right from that email to see all emails that fall into that bundles filter. Saving Changes...
