If you can't measure it you can't track it.
And is with every other management aspects, tracking you leadership growth is vital.
But how can we measure leadership growth ?

HI All,

In my company, the way that they check the leadership among the staff is through the feedback from others. Every year we will have so called leadership evaluation from colleagues, from there each of colleagues will be needed to complete the questionnaire and anonymously among all. It is good and very open comments, from there we can evaluate ourself , what kind of leadership that we have.

I think that a good indicator should be how the team in PM's hands perform.
In addition, even if difficult, it's important to ask for feedback to (some) influent team members to understand whether you're helping the team to move ahead in the planned direction.

can you all please provide some performance indicators ? I thought some of the below, very basics

1) how many independent contributors in the project created (members those who can work on their own from any location)
2) how many were influenced to take certification and upgrade knowledge
3) how many escalations/issues were handled by the leader that resulted in making client happy
4) knowledge creation and its value add
5) process setting and its value add

I know these are very basic points but I am thinking on the line where we can actually measure something in numbers

Hey Saurabh,

Is the idea to focus on an individual or organizational level? I agree there is a lack of facts and figures, but that doesn't mean one should not focus on development - imho. There are maturity models out there - you may check those regarding leadership. Maybe that's a helpful hint, maybe not. ;)

All the best
Christina
sorry Christina for late reply.
My aim is for individual leadership measurement.
