Is there a chance to highlight a milestone delay on the project timeline view?
Now, in case of delay for the milestone, I simply see it shifting ahead without transmitting the message that a delay occured

I believe that there is an "elaborated" way to do it, in which you need two Project files. One, with the original plan, and then a second file with the up-to-date plan.

Then, using the "Compare Projects feature", you may see the shift in milestones.

As I said, there must be an easier way to do it, I'll follow up the thread for more inputs

Thanks Eduard for the hint.Just tried!! The output of Compare Project gives me both timelines so that, for the time being I could show to stakeholder both of them to highlight the delay. Next step would be having only one timeline. Let's keep in touch on the thread, Thanks again

I forgot to say that ,of course, I've set a baseline at the beginning so that it makes sense to speak about "delay".
