How to Manage a .NET Application Development Project

I've been trying to find some information on how to manage a Microsoft .NET Application Development project. I know that .NET is more component based and there are differences between this Object Oriented and the traditional technology. Can anyone point me to a Whitepaper or Article that talks about Managing .NET projects?
