It depends on an individual's experience and work culture. As per my experience, I was well equipped in risk, procurement and stakeholder management but I found difficult in studying Cost, Schedule management & EVM. Saving Changes...
I would say Project Time Management was not necessaryly the most difficult to study but for transferring that knowledge from the PMBOK into the PMO.
Ensuring properly managing resources and avoiding scheduling conflicts, cost over runs when a missed scheduling window occurs that have knock on effects is a difficult PMBOK knowledge area to master.
