Graspskills fraud

Hello to all fellow projects managers,

Just wanted to let you know about a company called Graspskills

www.graspskills.com

They may contact you and ask you to provide training services.

In the end they refuse to pay and don't respond to your emails.

This is what happened to me, so heads up everyone.

I don't understand how they would get your email address on LinkedIn, unless you actually provide it to them. Am I missing something?
Hi Stephane, they messaged me in LinkedIn and I provided email when they sent me the contract agreement to sign

Here are some lessons learned:

1. Don't trust what everyone writes in their websites
2. Google for more info about the company and see its reputation (When I started to doubt about it, it was too late and I found some posts from people that had similar problems with this company).
3. Ask your colleagues around if they have been contacted from this company.

It happened to me as well but I knew after I did my research that they are not legit - I gave them my email and then when they emailed me I knew something does not make sense.

thanks to all of your sharing, I was contacted by Graspskills on Linkedin for a PMP course in Malta (I am in Italy) and (now I can say fortunately) I renounced due to other training committments

Well I'll be! Yet another email received and this was at work today. The email was sent from [email protected] (my prior one was from a different name with the same extension - bmsend.com) and the title was Virtual Live Classroom - Training and Certification USA.

Other than each individual blocking bmsend.com, is there any other venue for reporting and blocking this malicious activity?

Stéphane, your mention of blocking bmsend.com is the only method I'm aware of, thanks for asking the broader question to address alternatives.

In addition, am I the only one "questioning" the potential abuse from individuals in my network on this site?

I reported two individuals to the pm.com administrators for abuse, John.
