Scheduling Work Breakdown Structures (WBS)

I have been tasked with creating and maintain schedules for a team that did not previously have them. I have a foundational understanding of the tool, but need input on the best way to create a schedule that contains daily activities along with projects and forecasts them. Currently I have set up multiple WBS' with the projects as well as some of the recurring tasks to which I would assisgn resoruces as well as haivng cosidered using resource calendars, but would definitely appreciate input from someone more experienced and familiar. Thank you.
