I have an assignment to evaluate and select one PM tool out the six Apps listed below. I’m planning to write a critical comparative review with one or more recommendations which I’ll share with this group.
Could you please advise on?
• Your experience with any of these tools if any.
• The criteria to select a PM App
• Your recommendation (justified with a couple of arguments if possible).

Out of the six, the only one I have first hand experience with is #2. dapulse.
dapulse is powerful from a tracking and customization standpoint as you can do a lot with the table format that they use. Each row, called a "pulse", can be moved around the same sheet, called a "board", or even moved in between different boards. You can add columns to the board that are formatted for text, date, drop down colors/fields, etc. Each text based column even keeps a cache of the previous used values of that field so you can select it without having to retype it each time. An example would be using a text field for a salesperson's name; once you enter the name the first time you can quickly pick it out of the recently used names or it will pull up automatically after typing the first few letters. In addition to the table based view, each pulse has a journal feature allowing you to post updates, reply to updates, attach documents, etc. in a running narrative for that pulse. Paid team members can choose to receive and reply to these updates via email. You can export records to excel for reporting and they have integrations with many other applications and websites.
The downsides are that there is no workflow creation with dapulse so it is just for tracking projects, not really assigning tasks unless you get super granular in how you create your boards and pulses. Also, non paid team members cannot interact with dapulse in any capacity outside of a view only.
We use it as a dashboard/repository of status updates that compliments our other tools and systems, but I'm not sure anyone could get away with just using dapulse by itself to manage projects.
