Do you use SPC (Statistical Process Control) to measure/control your project(s) performance or to measure/control your project management process?

With the thought in mind that Project Management that there are 47 processes divided into five process groups.

Can you or do you use SPC (Statistical Process Control) to measure/control such project processes? If not in a project what about in program? Or in a PMO where you consolidate results of multiple projects?

Could you or do you use SPC to detect problems in the startup phase? In Closing phase? Or in the execution phase?

Let me hear your comments on SPC especifically in Project Management area
