With all those balls in the air, focus areas, stakeholder interests and parameters to manage, a project manager must be an all-rounder and multi-talent.

A new factor in the equation is sustainability. Is this just another ball to keep in the air? Or core project DNA? And what is your role as project manager towards sustainability?

This research is centred around the question whether or not you (as a project manager) should bring this topic to the table? And what factors influence your decision to do so or not.

Please allow me 10 minutes of your time and fill out this online survey. Thank you in advance for your time and efforts.

It depends on the industry and the project. Let's not forget the responsibility of executives. Sometimes it is the role of the PM to ask questions but not necessarily supply all the answers. It is not the role of the PM to expand the scope. That is a governance decision.

Good to see your discussion on here Marc! I hope that you get a few more people taking your survey, although sometimes just getting some great dialogue through this channel is great too!

FYI, I have a webinar I'm doing on Thursday on this site which is using a sustainability change initiative as the examples to talk about setting up for success with change.

Thank you, Assadullah, for pointing that out. I checked on Wikipedia and saw that sustainability is now a quality dimension.
You're most welcome Stephane.
