Review Exposure Draft - PMBOK(R) Guide--Sixth Edition (Front End and Knowledge Area Sections).
Did anybody had a chance to go through the draft. What I see in the draft is that CLOSE PROCUREMENT has been removed. So now what happens to the Procurement Audits, Procurement Negotiations and Record Management System. Has this completely removed from PMBOK or has been put into some other group, Like what they did for the "Estimate Activity Resources" from the Planning group in Project Time Management, this is now put under the Project Resource Management - Estimate Activity Resources in the Planning Process Group.

Clarifications given by Markus on Project Managers role is quite right, basically planning, scheduling including resources, monitoring. In most organizations there is Dy. Director or Director above in hierarchy and so closure of project or procurement decision is squarely on them.
