I work for WHR Corporation and we are trying to formalized the "Project Planners" skill set. Today we have different backgrounds and very different levels depending on where that Project Planner works. I am looking for a basic training or certification tailored to this role. The high level definition for this role within my organization - Project Planners maintain schedules and keep project resources on track, provide regular project updates to project directors, and maintain contact with staff to monitor job progress. Track down PO's, Coordinate Product Approval units with the lab, coordinate "Builds". Example, Prototypes, Pilots Build..etc Part tracking, develop BOM and update Costing information ....
Is there anybody in the Network that have used some specialized training that is tailored to this team ?? I know that I can find pieces of training but I was looking for a package.
